Ali Jackson enjoyed a solid perform🅠a൩nce in qualifying for the latest round of the British F3 International Series in Bucharest after securing his first pole position in the National Class.

The Raikkonen Robertson Racing driver, and the rest of the class for that matter, had seen T-Sport's Sergio Perez lead the way through botওh free practice sessions and it looked like the Mexican could again lead the 🌱National Class runners in qualifying as he set the early pace.

However, both Jackson and new Double R team-mate Michael Meadows were ready to po🦋unce, with Meadows making his move after the third red flag of the session - only for Jackson to usurp his team-mate right at the death - taking eleventh overall and also going quicker than Championship Class runner Jonathan Kennard.

"I'm delighted, that's the first pole position of the season, so hopefully on the way up from that," Jackson said. "I'm new to this track like everybody else and I'm getജting quicker every time I go out. As it happens my very last lap was the fastest lap. I really like ဣthe place; it's got a good atmosphere.

"When I walked the track yesterday I thought it was going to be worse than it actual𝐆ly is; it's a very good track."
