WorldSBK: Toprak Razgatlioglu could be set for official MotoGP test with Yamaha

Ahead of a potential 2023 MotoGP move, Toprak Razgatlioglu looks set to take part in a⛦n official pre-season test with Yamaha should his WorldSBK commitments allow it.
♛The 2021 WorldSBK champion has already confirmed that he wil🐽l be riding a Yamaha M1 alongside the Japanese manufacturer’s official test rider Cal Crutchlow, however, that was in the form of private tests alone.
And while that remains the most likely scenario at this stage, 𝓀an official test hasn’t been ruled out by Razgatlioglu’s manager, Kenan Sofuoglu.
Sofugolu told : "We are planning a private test and maybe take part in an official part, if the timing suits our calendar. We haven't confirmed an appointment yeಞt, but I assume that Toprak will be on a MotoGP bike this winter."
Should Razgatlioglu take part in either the Sepang or M𝓀andalika official MotoGP pre-season tests with Yamaha, then a move to Grand Prix racing could become even clearer for next season.
During the 2🅰021 season Razgatlioglu remained adamant that not only winning the WorldSBK title, but also staying in that paddock was hi🧜s main objective.
Add to that, Razgatlioglu signed a contract extension that would keep him with Pata Yamaha🌱 until the end of 2023.
However, with the Turkish rider having already secured a maiden world title which came during race one of the season finale in Mandalika, and both he and Team Principal Paul Denning hinting that a move to MotoGP could take place before his WorldSBK contract is up, the 2🌄5 year-old’s tests will all-but confirm his intentions.
What i🎶s definite, is that Razgatlioglu will defend his WorldSBK title in 2022, while Kawasaki rider Jonathan Rea wi𒐪ll of course start the season as his main challenger once again.
