Sylvain Guintoli w🥀as pleased to emerge from his comeback MCE British Superbike event still standing after a producing a pair of solid top ten results for the Worx C🍒rescent Suzuki team.
The Frenchman was a welcome returnee to the series at Cad꧋well Park having been out of action since May when he broke his leg in a collision with Jo🎉shua Brookes.
Currently the only non-Airwaves Yamaha rider to have won a BSB race this season, Guintoli admi🐭ts he was cautious on his return, so as not aggravate the injury, but felt as though he was getting back to form as the weekend progre🥂ssed.
"I could feel I was race rusty🤪 in that first race, three times I was on the grass when trying to make passes early in the race," he said. "I had to ease off and that actually helped - I got faster. At the end I was catching Karl Muggeridge very quickly, but it was right at the end and I ran out of laps and corners to make the pass.
"With less mistakes in that second race I was a lot closer on time to the leaders but I had to be careful how hard I could ride as for sure this is not a good time tꦛo fall again on my leg.
Finishing eighth and seventh in the two races, Guintoli says he is pleased there is now 🌟a small break for him to further recover, but i🎃s excited about the prospect of going racing again.
"As it is, I can really feel it now and I'm glad I get two more🦹 weeks to rest my leg before the next round at Croft.
"For me it was still a good weekend and I'm really excited to be back. I've got back into the racing and I'm looking forward to being more cཧompetitive still when I get to Croft."
