British Supersport race winner James Westmoreland has moved a step closer to joining the ꦛSuperbike ranks in 2011 after completing a three-day ⛄test for Motorpoint Yamaha in Spain.

The 22-year-old finished second to Sam Lowes in the British Supersport Championship this season, but while his rival will remain in Su🌃persports on the world stage next season💯, Westmoreland stepped out with Rob McElnea's Motorpoint Yamaha Superbike team during a test at Cartagena.

His first experience on the Yamaha R1, Westmoreland completed three days of testing alongside the recently-confirmed 💜Loris Baz and𒐪 was pleased with the results.

"It was a mega three days testing with the team at Cartagena and the bike felt really good,"?he said. "It was only a test at this stage but we worked well together and despite having so little time on a Superbike I got into a good rhythmꦦ and was able to set some promising lap times."
