Brands Hatch undergoes track updates

Brands Hatch is undergoing circuit improv💃ements this winter in preparation for 2019 with new kerbs and run-offs being install𓆏ed.

The iconic British circuit, which hosts British Superbikes, the British Touring Car Championship and DTM, will have its run-off area at the approach to Graham Hill Bend (Turn 3) extended and raised to a consistent plane to improv🌞e safety standards. The run-off surface at the Graham Hill Bend exit is also being improved with the same work being taken out at Druids (Turn 2).

Brands Hatch꧙ is undergoing c🍨ircuit improvements this winter in preparation for 2019 with new kerbs and run-offs being installed.

The iconic British circuit, which hosts British Superbikes, the British Touring Car Championship and DTM, will have its run-off area at the approach to Graham Hill Bend (Turn 3) extended and raised to a consistent plane to improve safety standards. The section of track which c💮onnects the Indy circuit c🐲onfiguration at Clearways is being resurfaced while new kerbs are being installed at Paddock Hill Bend (Turn 1).

The updates are🌳 expected to be completed before the start of the track’s 2019 motorsport action, beginning in early March, which circuit manager Mike Groves describes as a “majo൲r project”.

“We're undertakin🐽g a number of improvements to the circuit over the off-season, including a major reworking of the run-off zone on the approach to Graham Hill Bend,” Groves said.

“This major project, along with a handful of other on-track tweaks, will put u🐓s great shape ahead of what I'm sure will be another terrific season of motor racing.”

Brands Hatch’s first major motorsport event is BTCC on Apri👍l 6-7 with BSB’s maiden visit to the track in 2019 taking place 🌌across June 14-16.

The Kent circuit has hosted racing since 1926 and was the home of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix between 1964-86 when it shared alternate🥃 hosting years with Silꦆverstone.

Brands Hatch is currently🐠 an FIA Grade Two circuit.
