Ryan Viജckers has revealed he will undergo surgery for his broken collarbone this week as he works towards getting back to Bennetts British Superbikeꦰ Championship competition at Brands Hatch.

The youngster, who progressed to Superbikes with RAF Regular & Reserves Kawasaki afteꦡr winning the 2018 National Superstock 600 Championship,🅘 slipped off his Kawasaki ZX-10R during FP3 at Donington Park.

Leaving him with a fracture in his collarbone, Vickers was forced to sit out the Donington triple-header and will no📖w go under the knife to regain fitness to race at Brands Hatch in just over two weeks’ time.

“Following up from the weekend, as most of you know now that I had suffered a broken collarbone at Donington Park,” h𝓰e wrote on his Facebook page. “I’m happy to say that I have now got my surgery booked in for Thursday and I’m getting a plate put in to ensure I’m fit for Round 4!

“I have a schedule in place with a whole lot of physio and treatment to make sure I can resume my momentum and carry on𓄧 progression throughout the season! Thanks too everyone for the support and also everyone that has helped me organise getting back to full fitness!”

Despite his inexperience on a Superbike, Vickers – who replaced Moto2-bound 2018 BSB runner-up Jake Dixon - has shown eye-catching performance with the Lee Hardy Racing-run team, claiming top ten f🎐🥀inishes at Oulton Park.
