Having emerged at the top of the timesheets in FP1, Butchꦓer replicated his morning form after the Honda Civic Type-R driver lowered the benchmark even further to set the fastest ever BTCC lap around the iconic Scottis🔯h circuit.

Butcher's 50.615s w🃏as good enough to beat factory Honda driver Dan Cammish by almost 0.3s, firmly placing the home hero as the favourite to take pole position in this afternoon's upcoming qualifying session.

Cammish, looking to take the title fight to the BMWs this weekend, was 0.049s quicker than the leading BMW of Stephen Jelley in third position, while Jason Plato made a la෴te move up ♊the order to finish FP2 in fourth position.

Aiden Moffat ཧproved his FP1 showing wasn't a fluke and maintained his place among the top positions after setting the fifth fastest time aboard his Laser Tools Racing Infinti Q50.

BMW Pirtek Racing's Andrew Jordan was once again comfortably the fastest of the West Surrey Racing contingent in sixth ahead of Ho♛nda duo Matt Neal and Chris Smiley in seventh and eighth.
