The chequered flag is out and that bri🦩ngs Friday's practice running to a close.
Oscar Piastri led a McLaren 1-2 ahead of teammate Lando Norris, with 𝄹Pierre Gasly starring in a surprise P3 for Alpine.♏
George Russell and Max Verstappen were fourth and fifth fastest respectively for Merc❀edes and Red Bull.
Another late red flag in Friday practice, which has been caused by Isack Hadjar getting stuck ꦕon the edge of the circuit.
The Frenchman had a big spin coming out of Turn 3 and hit the wall, but was able to recover from the scene of the incident. He got going again and looked to rejoin the circuit, but as he tried to g🥂et out of the grass, his Racing Bulls got beached.
Kimi Antonelli has slammed Yuki Tsuno෴da after a near-miss with the Red Bull driver ruins his latest lap. Tsunoda was in the middle of the race track and on a cool down lap at the time.
"That was super dange🐓rous from the Red Bull!" Antonelli bemoaned ov💟er team radio.
🦩Ferrari have been checking Lewis Hamilton's brakes after his complaints over team radio.
"They have actually decided to take the brakes apart, do some checks and do whatever they can short of actually changing the discs or the pads, which they are not doing. They have finished that job now and the tyres are going back on the car for th🀅e 🅰long runs," reports Sky Sports F1's Ted Kravitz."
With 20 minutes or so left in FP1,ꦿ most of the field are switching onto medium ty✅res as the focus switches to conducting some long running and race prep.
Lewis Hamilton has come over the൲ radio to bemoan his brakes.&nbs🐻p;
"These damn brakes mate. Urgh, these brakes are🐟 a pܫroblem," he reports during his first lap on soft tyres.
The seven-time world champion clearly does not feel comfortable in his Ferrari and is only ninth in the order with less than 30 minutes re🍬maining.&nಌbsp;
Wow, so💦me impressive laps from the McLaren pair who go first and sec🐷ond.
Oscar Piastri lays 🌠down a marker with a 1m15.293s to edge out teammate Lando Norris by just 0.025s.
The McLarens are nearly threeﷺ tenths clear of Alpine's Pierre Gasly, who has produced a great lap to pop himself into third place.
Max Verstappe♌n and Yuki Tsunoda are next to set laps on the soft tyre, with Verstappen slotting into P2 and just 0.042s behind George Russell.
Tsunoda ෴went third but has since been demoted to P5 as others improve.
George Russell is the first driver onto the softs and he goes fastest with a 1m15.693s i♈n his Mercedes. That's 0.259s quicker than🎉 the time McLaren's Lando Norris managed on mediums a little while back.
Lewis Hamilton is currently down in 12th but has h🅰ad a frustrating couple of laps where he encounter𝔉ed traffic.
On one lap, he was blocked twice in the space of a few corners. Firstly he came 🍰across a slow-moving Sauber, before getting stuck behind one of the Red Bulls.
T🔜here are no penalties for such infringements i꧂n free practice, but that would be a different story in qualifying. Traffic will be a factor for the teams to consider during those all-important qualifying runs on Saturday.
Th🍸e Williams paiꦐr of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon rocket up to P2 and P3.
Sainz and A𝓀lbon had actually briefly made it a Williams 1-2, before Lando Norris immediately usurped the blue cars to put his McLaren back on top of the timesheet by just 0.040s.
For the second time today, Fernando Alonso is left rueing traffic. 🐈;
In FP1 he wasꦉ blocked by ♒Charles Leclerc's Ferrari, while in FP2 it was Franco Colapinto's Alpine.
Colapinto was righ𒐪t in the middle of the road at Turn 1 as Alonso arrived on the scene much faster and had to slam on the brakes an🌞d take evasive action to avoid hitting the Alpine debutant.
"I nearlꦬy crash🎉ed," Alonso says over team radio.
The first lap times are coming in and it is Lando Norris who is quickest in the early stages꧋.
It's a 1m16.074s for Norris which sees him sit top by 0.345s from Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who splits the꧃ McLarens in P3, with Oscar Piastri a tenth further back in third.

We are underway for the second hour▨-long practice session at Imola as a handful of drivers head straight out🐷 on circuit.
Another hour of practice is coming up from Imola at 4-5pm BST.&nbsꦫp;
Ex🐭pect to see teams carrying out a mixture of short and long runs during FP2 as they continue to dial their cars ahead of qualifying and Sunday's grand prix.
It was an incredibly close FP1 wꩲith less than a tenth splitting the top-five. Will it remain that tight this afternoon?
Ferrari and Charles Leclerc could be in🍌 trouble over an allege♊d tyre infringement during opening practice at Imola.
It has emerged that Ferrari adjusted Leclerc's tyre pressures for the same set of tyresꦦ, which contravenes the regulations. The incident has been referred to the stewards for further c𓃲onsideration.
FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer noted: "During free practice sess🥂ion 1, it was noticed that the LHS and RHS front tyre pressure of Set 16602 on Car 16 was altered after a run, whilst the car was stationary in the garage and befor🐻e going out for another run using the same set.
"This adjustment was not carried out in accordance with the procedures set out in TD003Q 2. g. iꦰi.."
There is ♉precedence for this, with Merced🍸es receiving a fine for the same infringement at last year's Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Andrea Stella says he hopes McLaren’s F1 rivals continue to focus on the wrong things by creating “sagas” regardinౠ✨g the performance of his team.

“For us, it’s good news when our rivals get their focus, rather than on themselves, onto some of the aspects that allegedly are present in our car,” McLaren team principal Stella said on Friday ahe💝ad of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
“Certainly, even if they were [present] like flexi-wings, like the fr🔯ont wing deflection that everyone has, it has nothing to do why the reason McLaren is very competitive.
“I hope that in the future there willဣ be more of these kind of sagas because it means that our rivals keep focusing on the wrong things and this is for us good news and helpin🌳g our quest.”

An intriguing order in first practice at Imola, with the top five separateꦑd by less than a tenth of a second.
Gabriel Bortoleto has hit the wallꦫ at Turn 18. The Sauber driver confirms he is "okay🉐" but his car is damaged and he is stuck in the gravel. The red flag comes out and that will signal the end of FP1 at Imola.
Max Verstappen has just been seen punchin♓g his steering wheel after being left visibly frustrated with wide moments which have ruined recent laps.
The rei𓆉gning world champion is curren🥀tly P7 and three tenths off the pace and is clearly unhappy with how his Red Bull is handling during the opening practice session.
Carlos Sainz has just gone third-fastest, u♌nderlinin♑g the impressive pace of his Williams. The Spaniard is just 0.052s slower than Piastri.
Meanwhile, teamm𝔍ate Alex Albon has had a few adventures on his latest laps by running wide and🌳 through the gravel at different parts of the track. He remains eighth.
