Daniil Kvyat's Red Bull Racing career got off to an inauspicious start after damaging the team's only front wing before setting a tim🍒e during testing, consigning him to low speed, wingless work for the remainder of the day.

The Russian, who replaces Ferrari-boꦦund Sebastian Vettel, after being promoted from Toro Rosso, had a spin on an out-lap within the first hour of th𝐆e test, resulting in the front wing breaking.

Despite the relatively minor circumstances, the damage was enough to prevent Red Bull from fixing the wing, while the lacไk of an available spare meant there was no replacement on offer either.

As such, Kvyat persevered with an adjusted workload that could be com🥂pleted without the need of a front wing, the youngster managing 18 slow in- and out-laps. Despite this, he admits the mistake was aꦆ frustrating set-back for him and the team.

"There were many factors," the Russian said. "I was going very slowly but, so🌳metimes, it isn't even enough. It almost felt like it was out of my power, you don't s🅘pin every day on an out-lap.

"These things happen, but it happened to be a♊t the wrong moment, so we had to change our plan and work with what we had and try and still do the things we found ꦬuseful to do."

Red Bull has already said it will be have a new front wing available for Tuesday when Daniel Ricciardo gets back in the car, but Kvya🍰t is determined to make amends on Wednesday.

"We had to do something that we could do without a front wing and I think we did them well," he added, "Hopefully, it will be beneficial to us in ღthe future.

"൲It is som🥀ething that unfortunately happens, but we have to turn the page and look forward to the last day of testing where I can make it up."
