V♏altteri Bottas says he isn't concerned by 2017 contract talks going cold after taking a more hands-on role with his future in F1.

The Fi♊nn has opted to take a more active role in his contract negotiations for next year alongsiꦐde his management and advisors of Toto Wolff, Mika Hakkinen and Didier Coton with Williams.

Bottas has also been linked as a potential replacement for Kimi Rai🎶kkonen at Ferrari, having lost out to his countryman for the Ferrari drive last year, but says despite contract talks stalling he is confident of a positive resolution.

"I feel comfortabl🐲e, time w🦋ill show what's going to happen, but like I said everything is still a bit frozen," Bottas said. "There has been no decision made by Williams I would guess. But we will need to wait and see.

"There's no key date. Like I said everything's a little bit frozen and there's not much movement one way or another. Still💛 have to wait a few races and see what's going to happen.

"I would say I'm just very interested of my own future, still I have Toto, Mika, Didi behind me, I have all the support from them and all the help from them. I just want to be more involved an♎d I think it's quite handy if I speak with Claire or anyone, it's quite simple."

Bottas currently sits seventh in the F1 world championship table with the highligh♋t of a rostrum result at Canada. The Finn is only one of three drivers on the F1 grid to secure a classified finish in every race this season, along with Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Perez, and has s💟cored points in eight of the opening nine races.
