F1 Chinese GP: Palmer, Grosjean receive five-place grid penalties for Chinese GP

Romain Grosjean and Jolyon Palmer have both been hit with a five-place gr♒id penalty for Sunday's Formula 1 racꦛe in China after failing to slow for yellow flags during qualifying in Shanghai.
🌸Y🎉ellow flags were shown at the end of Q1 on Saturday in China after Antonio Giovinazzi crashed out at the final corner, spinning his Sauber into the wall.
Both Grosjean and Palmer were on hot laps at the time and completed their efforts despite coming through the crash site en route to the finish line, with neither g𒆙oing fast enough to make it through to Q2.
The🗹 ste♉wards quickly confirmed that both drivers were under investigation for not slowing for yellow flags, despite Grosjean and Palmer being confident they would avoid a penalty.
The stewards confirmed in the hours following ဣqualifying that both Grosjean and Palmer had been handed five-place grid penalties, dropping them to the back of the grid after they qualifying 17th and 18th respectively.
The sanctions lift Max Verstappen and Esteban Ocon off the back row of the grid, the pair finishin🐽g Q1 in P19 and P20.
