The ambitious project to take an unknown into the world of Formula🥂 One has proven to be a hit, according to founder David Fleming.

A former Williams graphic designer, Fleming recently revealed plans to create a scholarship scheme to take a young driver all the way up the racing ladder to grand prix racing. The scheme is open to all who fancy their chances - worldwide - and involves applicants being put through their paces on and off the track in order to prove that talent should outwe♈igh the need for strong financial backing.

Despite the need for a little more than driving talent, however, Fleming ha🌊s been bowled over by the initial response.

"Feedback has been amazing since the story broke today," he told ltxcn.top, "It's so positive thᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚat we might speed things up in order to put an exper💙ienced driver in the Formula Ford Zetec Championship for 2002. Of course, however, the 'novice' competition couldn't be rushed through in the same way."

The scholarship is set to be ꦿlaunched in January, with distinct competitions for complete novices and more experienced drivers, and aims to provide the winners with fully-funded seasons in karting and Formula Ford. Fleming and a select panel of judges would then assess the drivers' progress before deciding whether to provide additional support in the higher ranks of FRenault and F3. The ultimate object of the scheme is to get the driver at least a test drive with an F1 team.

"We'll be releasing more information on the scholarship next week," Fleming continued, "but I am aꦰlr♔eady sure that we can unearth an absolute star."
