Kimi explains reason for stall in Oz.

McLaren-Mercedeꦍs driver, Kimi Raikkonen has dismissed suggestions the reason heﷺ stalled at the Australian Grand Prix, was because he pressed the wrong button.

Th💛e Finn told t♉he media during Thursday's FIA press conference at Sepang that that was definitely not the case.

"I didn't press any wrong button," he insisted.

"I just letไ the clutch out a♌ little too much and the car just stopped.

"Basiꦫcally, usually, it should under-stall, but it didn't go and this time it stalled the engine. It was my mistake and it cost us quite a bit."

Reflecting on Melbourne a bit more Kimi added that while the reꩵsult wasn't very good, he is confident the MP4-20 does have the pace to match the likes of Renault and Ferrari.

"I think we ꦏwere unlucky with the qualifying and with the weather [in Australia]," he reflected.

"Quite a lot of people were stopped. And then I stalled the car on the start and that didn't help, but I think the race pace was pretty go🐼od so, looking at how the car usually runs here, better on this circuit than Melbourne, I think we should have 🐓a pretty good package."
