Aguri Suzuki declared himself pleased with a relatively trouble free start to the Malaysian Grand Pri🥃x weekend for the new Super Aguri outfit.

Takuma Sato and Yuji Ide were able to complete the programme planned by the team 🐻ahead of the second race of the year, with S෴ato setting lap-times not far off the pace of rivals MF1 Racing.

With that i𝐆n mind, the former Jordan and BAR driver was happy with the way the day had progressed as he looks to build on a solid finish last weekend in Bahrain.

"It was another solid day for the team and we did not encounter any problems," he said. "We completed our planned pro🍌gramme, which included an intensive tyre test, and so we have been able to collect some very valuable data to help us decide our set up for tomorrow. It has been a very good start to the weekend and I am pleased with what we have been able to accomplish todayꦺ."

Team-mate Ide suffered from an understeer issue which he hoped will be s💖olved 'as soon as possible' and Suzuki said he believed that the team would be able to rectify the problem.

"I am quite happy with today's practice sessions as both cars ran with relati♔vely few problems," the team principal said. "We completed our programme for both c♔ars and for the first time we tried a new construction Bridgestone tyre which both drivers were quite satisfied with. Yuji still has a big understeer problem, but we shall run a new front wing on his car tomorrow and hope that this will be rectified.

"The team will now study our data from today and work on our set up for tomorrow - but on the whole it has been a 🅺successful day."
