Grosjean keen on ‘lovely’ Renault return in the future

Romain Grosjean is hopeful of returning to Re🐭nault’s Formula 1 team at some point in the future when he can fight for a world championship, but has💫 called a 2018 comeback “premature”.

Gꦯrosjean made his F1 debut with Renault back in 2009 before returning to the Enstone operation - which had become Lotus - in 2012, remaining there until the end of the 2015 season.

Grosjean has since joined Haas and is set to remain with the Americౠan team for a third year in 2018, as confirmed by team owner ℱGene Haas last month.

Grosjean has since joined Haas and is set to remain with the American team for a third year in 2018, 🍨as confirmed b💙y team owner Gene Haas last month.

“It was not such a big surprise for me, I’ve known this since September 2015. So I wouꦡld call it a normal continuation, and things are great,” .

“The team is doing well and I want to help it grow bigger. Of course, if one day there ꦚis th𝕴e chance to be world champion, then great.”

Renault is known to be evaluating a number of drivers for a seat in 2018 alongside Nico Hulken🅷berg, with Grosjean linked given his history with the brand and💝 the notion of a French driver representing a French team.


Grosjean denied having spoken with Renault about a 2018 seat, but did admit he would like to🐓 return to the tea🦂m some day.

“No, I haven’t talked wit🥃h Renault,” Grosjean said.

“Going back to♌ Renault one day would b🥂e lovely, but it should be the time when we really could be world champions together.

“That would be a supe🐈rb situation, but right now ☂it is a bit premature.”
