Gasly handed post-race penalty for Perez clash

Pierre Gasly has lost 10th place at the British Grand Prix after being handed a post-race five-second time penalty for colliding with Sergio P𒊎erez, which sees the Force India 🔯driver pick up the final points place.

After the late race Safety Cars bunched the pack up, Gasly used the opportunity to attack P🏅erez for the final points place in the closing laps. The pair appeared to clash at the final chicane at Silverstone which pushed Perez wide and allowed Gasly to overtake the Mexican driver.

After the late race🐠 Safety Cars bunched the pack up, Gasly used the opportunity to attack Perez for the final points place ෴in the closing laps. The pair appeared to clash at the final chicane at Silverstone which pushed Perez wide and allowed Gasly to overtake the Mexican driver.

Upon reviewing the inꦜcident post-race, the FIA stewards deemed Gasly responsible for hitting Perez w🍬hich forced him off track.

As a result, the French driver was given a five-second penalty which drops him from tenth place to 13th 🌄– behind Perez, Stoffel Va♐ndoorne and Lance Stroll.

G𒁏asly has also picked up two penalty points which pushes his current total to four over a 12-month period.

F💦ollowing the decision, the Toro Rosso driver has cal🙈led the penalty "bullshit" and feels it was a racing incident with Perez
