Ferrari opts for aggressive Hungary GP tyre picks

Ferrari duo Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen have opted for more of the softest option tyres available for the Hungarian Grand Prix compared to fꦉront-running rivals Mercedes and Re𒁏d Bull.

The Formula 1 world championship leader, winner in Hungary for two of the previous three seasons, has selected nine s༺ets of Pirelli’s Ultrasoft tyres, one more than Ferrari team-mate Raikkonen’s eight sets of the softest compound on offer.

Ferrari duo Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen have opted for more of the softest option tyres available for the Hungarian Grand Prix compared to front-running rivals Merced🦹es and Red Bull.

The Formula 1 world championship leader, winner in Hungary for two of the previous three seasons, has selected nine sets of༺ Pirelli’s Ultrasoft tyres, one more than Ferrari team-mate Raikkonen’s eight sets of the softest compound on offer.

Only Renault pair Carlos Sainz and Nico Hulkenb♍erg h𝄹ave picked more than Vettel with 10 sets each of the purple-banded tyres.

Both the Mercedes and Red Bull drivers have all opted for seven sets of the Ultrasofts, with Lewis Hamil🃏ton taking the most yellow-banded soft tyres with five sets one more than team-mate Valtteri Bottas and Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciard🍰o and Max Verstappen (all with four).

The Hungarian Grand Prix runs back-to-back with this weekend’s German GP on July 27-29 at the Hungar꧂oring, acting as F1’s final race bꦗefore the August summer break.
