Sauber praises Calderon's 'excellent' performance in latest F1 test

Tatiana Calderon has completed her latest Formula 1 test with Sauber at the Fiorano Circu▨it, with the team praising her “excellent” performance.

The Co🙈lombian GP3 racer drove a 2013 Ferrari-powered V8 Sauber C32 during the two-day test at the Italian circuit.

It followed Calderon’s first laps behind the wheel of Sauber's 2018 challenger, as she took part in a filming day with the Swiss squad at the Autodromಞo Hermanos Rodriquez after last month’s Mexican Grand Prix.

It followed Calderon’s first laps behind the wheel of Sauber's 2018 chall𝔉enger, as she took part in a filming day with the Swiss squad at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriquez after last month’s Mexican Grand Prix.

The Sauber developmenꦑt driver turned in 202 laps - the equivalent of 594.890km - across the two days at Fiorano and set a best lap time of 58.🎶802s on Sunday as she focused on qualifying and race simulations.

Sauber said Caldಌeron “delivered an excellent performance” and managed “consistent lap times while demonstrating dedication and endurance."

“It was anoꦡther interesting day of testing,” Calderon added.

“We focused on qualifying simulations in the morning, and long-runs in the after🔯noon.

“Overall, the past two days have been very beneficial to my development and I have gain🔴ed valuable experience.

“The team did a great job in the preparation as well as ಌthe implementation of my programme and I😼 felt comfortable in the car as well as on the track.

“I look forward to putting what I have learned to practice.”

Calderon is unde🌺rstood to be chasing a move up to Formula 2 for the 2019 seas🐓on.
