McLaren F1 driver Carlos Sainz tests negative for coronavirus
McLaren Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz has confirmed he has tested negative for coronavi🅰rus.
The Spaniard is currently taking part in a voluntary quarantine period as a precautionary measure after a member of the McLaren F1 crew contracted COVID-19 at the Australian Grand Pri🃏x.
Despite testing negative for the flu-like virus♏, Sainz will continue with his current self-isolation, which he admitted to being “a bit bor🌊ed” of earlier on Tuesday.

McLaren withdrew from t🍰he season-opener in Australia following an outbreak of coronavirus in the Melbourne paddock, which ultimaꦰtely resulted in the race being called off.
“After what happened in Australia, I needed to do the COVID-19 test and🎉 I am very happy because the results are negative,” Sainz said on Instagram.
“In reality it won’t 🐭change much, because I will cont⭕inue in quarantine.”
Earlier this week, the Woking squad confirmed the member of its team that had tested positive was no longer showing symptoms of coronavirus, while revealing that the other 14 staff currently observing a selﷺf-isolation period are being supported by top McLaren personn🔜el out in Melbourne.
