The Racing Point Formula 1 team has been reprimanded🔯 over the continued use of its controversial rear brake ducts at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Racing 🧔Point were docked 15 constructors’ championship points and fined €400,000 for breaching F1’s sporting regulations because the pr𝐆inciple designer was Mercedes and not Racing Point.

The Silverstone-based outfit is being allowed to continue using the brake d✅ucts as they are legal from the view of the technical regulations.

The FI🐷A noted that Racing Point had used the same design yet again during Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and subsequently summoned the team before the stewards.

“The front and rear brake duct assemblies used by car numbers 11 and 18 of the BWT Racing Point F1 team during the qualifying sessions and the race of the 2020 Spanish Grand Prix are probably the same design as the ones used duri🐠nಞg the Styrian, Hungarian, British and 70th Anniversary Grand Prix,” a stewards note read.

A team representative was caꦬlled to see the stewards following a strong double points haul for Racing Point, with Lance Stroll heading returning teammate Sergio Perez home in fourth place.

Racing Point was handed another reprimand꧙ for continuing to use its disputed brake duct design as they break the sporting regulations, adding to the reprimands they were given after the Styrian, Hungarian, British and 70th Anniversary Grand Prix.

Following its strong points haul, Racing Point has now leapfrogged McLaren and Ferrari to move up to third in t🌳he 2020 constructors’ championship൲ points on 63 points, despite its penalty.
