Alex Albon has been ‘fighting with’ Red Bull F1 car in 2020

Alex 💖Albon says he wants to be able to “drive with” his Red Bull car after feeling he has been ‘fighting it’ so far during the 2020 Formula 1 season.
The An🥃glo-Thai has found himself in the spotlight after being unable to match the performance level of his Red Bull teammate Max Verstap💧pen in the opening six races of the season.
Albon has managed a best result of fourth place at the Styrian Grand Prix and has bee𓂃n comprehensively out-performed by Verstappen in both qualifying and the races, taking just 40 points compared to the Dutchman, whওo occupies second place in the championship standings with 95 points.
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has continued to back his driver ꦉand believes that Albon could throw himself into podium contention with improved results on Saturday, but Albon reckons there is not one single area to fo꧟cus on.
“There’s not one area in particular but of course, just trying to drive around or drive with the car rath♚er than trying to fight it - that’s the main feeling,” Albon said during Thursday’s F1 press conference ah🌊ead of this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix.
“It’s getting there🎀. Obviously I want it to happen quicker and immediately but things like that don’t happen overnight so it does take a bit of time and work. I am sure it will come eventually♛.”
Red Bull recently drafted in Daniel Ricciardo’s former race engineer Simon Rennie inꦏ a bid to help Albon, who is returning to the scene of his Red Bull debut from 12 m🥃onths ago.
“Obvious𒆙ly Simon has worked with Daniel in the past 🍰and with numerous drivers before that, It’s been going well,” he explained.
“Simon obviously has that experience,ܫ as you could imagine. Everything has fallen in pretty smoothly.
“We already started working on the simulato🦋r before on the track, as well, we did a couple of tests during last year. It’s b💙een going well.”
