Gasly: Running out of charge reason for Q1 Mugello F1 exit

Pierre Gasly has revealed he ran out of electrical power on t𝓡he run to the start-finish line on his final Formula 1 qualifying꧋ lap in Q1 for the Tuscan Grand Prix.
Following the high of winning his maiden F1 race at Monza la🍬st weekend, Gasly was brought back down to earth with his first Q1 elimination of the season.
Gasly had shown ꦯimpressive pace throughout practice - ending FP3 in fifth place - but was unable to progress into Q2.
Gasly confirmed he ran out of electrical deployment on his final ༒Q1 attempt, costing him over a tenth of a second.
“It was obviously a very, very disappointing qualifying for us after a great free practice,” said Gasly. “Today we missed it by half a tenth. We lost over a tenth with the ERS deployment runnཧing out of charge way too early 300 metres before the line. We lost over൩ a tenth to Daniil [Kvyat] there and it cost us Q2 and an opportunity to go further.”
Gasly wasn't entirely happy with the handling of his AlphaTඣauri and felt it 🎀went in the wrong 'direction' compared to practice.
“We made a few changes a🌌fter third practice that didn’t go in the right direction and we’re still analysing why we went slower than practice,” Gasly added. “We lost grip and we can see it, so we’re still investigating.
“My lap was decent, honestly. There wasn’t any mistakes.ಌ Obviously you can lose a bit of time here and there but it was a pretty good lap. I’m not blaming anyone, I’m just saying us as a team didn’t do the perfect job today.”
