Racing Point F1 Team confirms further four positive COVID-19 cases

Racing Poiܫnt F1 team boss Otmar Szafnauer has revealed it has had a further four positive cases of COVID-19 among its team members in 2020.
Drivers Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll, as well as team owner Lawrence Stroll, have all tested❀ positive for coronavirus this season.
Speaking ahead of th🐬e Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola, Szaf🍒nauer confirmed four other team members have tested positive.
“We had no engineers, I think I said it last week and I will say it again,” Szafnauer sa🅠id. “I don’t know where, why and how think people think we had a positive test of any engineers.
“We had no engineers test positive. Two drivers, the 🧔team owner and a handful of other people that were tested at ✨the factory. And that’s it. So in total, I think we’re [at] seven.”
Szafnauer clarified the four team members to have tested positive work at the team's factory at Siౠlverstone, rather than part of the race team whi𓂃ch attends each F1 grand prix.
“We don’t name people for obvious reasons as to who tested positive and we don’t name their roles either, beca♎use then you can pick out who it is,” Szafnauer said. “We’ve got to respect their own confidentiality, they don’t want everybody to know and the FIA doesn’t say either and we report to the FIA.
“So to be clear, no engineers, two drivers who we’ve told everybody, the team owner, and in total, there w🍎ere seven, So there are four further ones. They range from people in our marketing department, riggers, laminators, only seven in total. But we’re not going to say who it is, we’ve got to respect ꦗtheir confidentiality.
“I was asked a direct question, ‘did an🍌y of the engineers test positive’ and the answer is ‘no’. I thought the reason that question was asked is because the engineers work closely with the drivers. None of them tested positive and none were close contacts.”
