Ricciardo revels in “majestic” shoey with Hamilton on F1 podium

Daniel Ricciardo says doing a shoey with Lewis Hami🐭lton on the Formula 1 podium at Imola was a “majestic” moment.
After finishing th♋ird in Sunday’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, the Australian toasted his secꦿond podium with Renault in three races with his traditional rostrum celebration by drinking champagne from his racing boot, something he forgot to do in Germany.
Race-winner Hamilton got in on the act by drinking from Ricciardo’s left boot as the Renault driver drank from 🔯his right afte🧸r claiming the 93rd victory of his career. Ricciardo said he thoroughly enjoyed seeing Hamilton voluntarily joining in.
"I took my right shoe off, pour🔜ed it, and was about to salute tꦰhe mechanics," Ricciardo explained.
"And I heard Mr Hamilton askin💖g me to take my left shoe off. He also drank out of my shoe today. So we shared one today, and it was majestic.
"And fun fact for everyone, I think it was three years ago on the podium he🅺 said he will never, ever drink out of my shoe, and in 2020 strange things are happening.
“I was very adamant that I would get him to do it one day, an𒁃d here we go. So I⛄ didn't forget, and I'm very happy.
"Champa♏gne is colder these days, I don't know if it's because we're approaching winter and it's cooler outsidꦜe, but it does make the shoe experience slightly more tolerable."
But what did Hamilton make o𒊎f his🥀 first-ever shoey?
“It definitely didn’t taste great,” Hamilton said. “I mean I don’t really like champagne as🎐 it is, but it definitely tastes worse.
“But what’s positive is that Daniel’s mum thinks I was a good sport, so I’m grateful for that. I think Daniel had said that I'd once said never, that I 🦩would never do it. So there's a lesson - never say never. It was a good moment."
