Riccardo slams F1 over “completely disrespectful” replays of Grosjean’s crash

Daniel Ricciardo says F1’s decision to show continuous replays of Romain G♒rosjean’s opening lap shunt in Bahrain is “pretty disgusting”.
Grosj🔯ean crashed heavily on the opening lap iꦍn Bahrain following a tangle with the AlphaTauri of Daniil Kvyat.
Grosjean sp♔eared into the Armco barrier at Turn 3 with⛄ his car going up in flames immediately and also splitting in two in a horrific incident.
The race was then halted for over an hour as the barrier was repaired so the race coul𝓀d be 𒆙restarted.
During the interval, the crash was shown multiple times by F1 on the world feed which is broadcast around the world but also at the🔯 circuit meaning d🐬rivers were watching the incident.
Speaking to Ziggo TV, Ricciardo was very critica⭕l of F1 for repeatedly showing the crash on TV.
“The way the incident of Grosjean was broadcast, over and over, the replays🌱 over and over, it was completely disrespectful and inconsiderate for his family, for all of our families watching,” Ricciardo said.
“We’re going to go race again iꦓn an hour and every time we look at the TV it’s a ball of fire ﷽and his car cut in half.
“We can see that tomorr🐭ow, we don’t need to see it today. For me, it was entertainment and they’re playing with all of o🅠ur emotions.
“I thought it was pretty disgusting. Hopefully, some other drivers have s✃poken up, but if that’s not how we all really feel, I’ll be very surprised.”
Ricciard𒊎o ultimately finished the race in seventh, meaning he moves up to fourth place in the drivers' championship following Serg𝓀io Perez's late retirement.
