Spa reintroduces gravel as circuit developments continue

The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps has provided another update about its latest developments with gravel being added at a number of corners.

The iconic circuit is undergoing significant changes ahead of this year’s racing calendar in a bid to meet FIA and FIM approval with it looking to host bike racing later thi♌s year.

Construction work began in November with the biggest change coming at Eau🅘 Rouge/Raidillon after a series of high-profile crashes in FIA Formula 2, W Series and th𒁃e Spa 24 Hours.

A n꧅ew update from the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps showed the reintroductionﷺ of gravel at a number of corners, most noticeably the high-speed Pouhon left-hander in the middle part of the lap.

The final chicane will also have a gra💜vel trap alongside its existing run-off area.

F1 will return to Spa for tꦏhe Belgian Grand Pri🧜x on August 28.
