Aston Martin set to unveil real 2022 F1 car at launch

The Silverstone-based outfit will be the third team to take th🐻e wraps off its new challenger for the upco🔥ming 2022 season later this afternoon, and the team has confirmed the car it showcases will be the real AMR22.

Red Bull unveiled its RB18 car on Wednesday but it became apparent the Milton Keynes team had simply used a show car at its 🔯online launch to present its livery and new title spꦫonsor Oracle.

Last week, Haas released digital renders of its VF-22, though the American🔴 squad admitted the images were not representative of the car that will hit the track in pre-sea𝄹son testing in Barcelona on February 23-25.

Aston Martin will therefore have the honour of revealing the first real 2022 car when it launchဣes the AMR22 at its Gaydon headquarters at 2pm GMT.

I🐠t is likely there will still be an element of secrecy around the design of the AMR22 given that teams are keen to avoid giving away key details how they have inಞterpreted F1’s rules revolution to their rivals.

Aston Martin𓆏 drivers Sebastian Vettel and L💦ance Stroll are set to conduct a first shakedown test of the AMR22 at Silverstone on Friday.

The rebranded team is looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2021 season in which it slipped to seventh in the constructors’ championship. Four-time🌠 world champion Vettel scored the team's only podium last year with a second-place finish in Baku.

Aston Martin is about to head into the second year of a five-year plan to win F1 world championships and has mad🐠e a number of headline appointments ahead of the new campaign.

They include the signing of new technical director Dan Fallows from Red Bull and former BMW Motorsport boss Mike Kra📖ck as team principal.
