Juan Manuel Cor🐭rea will remain in intensive care for at least one more day as doctors continue to monitor his condition after sustaining severe injuries to his legs during Saturday's Formula 2 crash at Spa-Francorchamps.

C🧜orrea's car was involved in the accide🍃nt on Lap 2 of the F2 Feature Race that claimed the li🏅fe of BWT Arden driver Anthoine Hubert. Correa was hospitalised with fractur💝es to both his legs, and underwent surgery on Saturday in Liege, Belgium.

Doctors co𒐪nfirmed on Sunday that Correa was in a stable condition, with a further upda❀te following in the early hours of Monday morning in💦 which it was confirmed that he had been informed of Hubert's death.

"The 20-year-old remainꦦs in stable condition after a lengthy surgery to repair fractures💜 to both of his legs," a statement reads.

"Juan Manuel will rem🍬ain in intensive care for ဣat least another 24 hours to ensure that his condition can continue to be monitored by his surgical team.

"His parents are at his bedside and can confirm that he is fully aware of the events that happened at the Circuit Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday, and are providing support and comfort to their son who is completely overwhelmed with sadne꧃ss. Juan Manuel sends his well wishes and prayers to Anthoine Hubert and family.

"Juan Manuel and his family are very thankful to all of the fans for messages voicing their concern. Once his injuries have stabilized doctors will determine when he can be transferred back to the United States v🦂ia an Air Ambulance to continue with a very lengthy rehabilitation program."
