Honda Formula 1 junior Yuki Tsunoda sealed his maiden FIA Formula 2 victory in the Silverstone sprint race🧜 after the Prema’s of Mick Schumacher and Robert Shwartzman collided late o🐼n.

Schwartzman looked to be on his way to head a comfortable Prema 1-2 but S𒐪chumacher closed in in the final few laps when theꦰ Russian began to struggle with tyre degradation.

Schumacher had more pace at this stage and took the outs༺ide line heading into Brooklands as he looked to move into the lead two laps from the end, but the pair collided when the German shut the door under braking.

While Schumacher miraculously escaped damage to his car, Shwartzman was no🐈t so lucky, picking up front wing damage that ultimately saw him drop down the order and outside of the points.

It marked another disastrous result for the Ferrari F1 protege amid two difficult weekends at Silverstone that have seen him lose his championshiꦦp lead and lose ground to his closest rivals.

The Prema collision opened the do🐲or for Tsunoda to claim an unlikely victory, with the Red Bull F1 junior running in third for the majority of the race before becoming the eighth different winner from the first 10 races.

🅰Schumacher held on for second ahead of Jack Aitken, with the Campos driver making it two podiums from two races at his home race.

Louis Deletraz finished fourth, pipp🥃ing UNI-Virtuosi’s Guanyu Zhou by less than a sꦚecond.

New championship leader Callum Ilott was sixth ahead of fellow Briton Dan Ticktum, who rose from 15th on the gri🧸d into the poin✅ts.

Nikita Mazepin, Jehan Daruvꦬala and Luca Ghiotto rounded out the 💯rest of the top 10.
