Nicholas Latifi extends F2 points lead with Baku Sprint Race victory

Nicholas Latifi extended his lead at 🍎the top of the FIA Formula 2 drivꦫers' championship after winning Sunday's Sprint Race at the Baku City Circuit.

Latifi managed to take the lead before half-dis🥀tance after passing early front-runner Sean Gelael, and saw off challenges from Juan Manuel Correa and Nyck de Vries to clinch his second win of the sea🅰son.

Latifi managed to take the lead before half-distance after passing early front-runner Sean Gelael,🍰 and ♏saw off challenges from Juan Manuel Correa and Nyck de Vries to clinch his second win of the season.

Correa grabbed his first F2 podium in second place, while Saturday Feature Race winner Jack A🥂itken completed the podium after a late pass on de Vries, who was left to settle for fourth place.

Mick Schumacher charged from 19th on the grid to fin⛦ish fifth for Prema ahead of Sergio Sette Camara and Dorian Boccolacci, while Sean Gelael took the final point for P8 after edging out Callum Ilott by just 0.005 seconds in a late drag race to the line.
