As a result, O'Connell - who last drove an F3 car back in 2001 - will step into the #56 Dallara for the weekend and quickly got up to speed as he posted t💮he second quickest time amongst the National Class runners during Friday testing.
"Andy will be missed by the team, but it goes without saying that his health is the most important thing at this time," team boss Trevor Carlin said. "The entire team join me in wishing him a sp𓄧eedy recovery.
"In Andy's absence Martin has adapted veꦗry quickly into our F3 car, and the team will be working very hard to make this weekend as easy as possible for him."
