Formula 3 championship leader Loga﷽n Sargeant has claimed a third consecutive pole position in Barcelona.

Sargeant was the only driver to get into the 1m32s as he claimed yet another pole position, toppling Jake H✃ughes’ lap on his&n🦩bsp;final run.

Pole position in Spain means Sarge༒ant gets another four points added to his tally and thus extending his championship lead to five points over Prema team-mate Oscar Piastri. 

Hughes languished down in 17th after the first runs of qualifying but propelled himself onto pole position before being꧅ beaten by Sargeant. 

Liam Lawson will start Saturday’s feature race from third on th🥃e grid, just ahead of Piastri.

Piastri topped the time-sheets after the initial laps but couldn’t find the improvement his team-mate♈ and main chꦦampionship rival Sargeant did in the final moments.

Sebastián Fernández looked 🧜to be back 🍰on form in the ART, qualifying fifth. 

Next up is Clément Novalak in sixth ahead 🌼of David Beckmann and Alex Peroni.

Lirim Zendeli looked on course for a strong qualifying and sat inside the top five for much of the session, but dr♌opped to tenth place as the track improved and drivers bettered🦄 their lap times. 

Richard Verschoor lines up 11th for MP Motorsport ahead of Leonardo Pu🧸lcini in the Carlin and Matteo Nannini in the Jenzer Motorsport.

Alexander Smolyar and Frederik Vꦺesti rounded out theಌ top 15.

Alessio Deledda ended the session in barriersꦗ after oversteering wide at Turn 4 into the gravel and eventually into the barriers.

The Italian will start in 30th place and🅷 has yet to score a point so far this season.  

The feature race gets underway on Saturday♌ morning 💖at 1025 local time.
