Hauger closes in on F3 title after dominant Zandvoort victory

Starting from pole position, H💛auger maintained the lead into Turn 1🐈 ahead of Trident’s David Schumacher.
Hauger’s superior pace wa🌃s apparent immediately as he managed to break DRS to Schumacher behind as Victor Martins started to apply intense pressure.
Witꦑh Hauger running several seconds clear out front, the focus was🎐 on the battle for second between Martins and Schumacher.
The pair came⛄ to blows three laps from the end as Martins tried an aggressive lunge into the banked Turn 3 ▨corner, hitting Schumacher and sending him into the barriers.
The tangle allowed Clement Novalak to move into second, while Martins was ෴handed a 10-second time penalty for his role in the inci🍌dent, handing Aleksandr Smolyar the final spot on the rostrum.
Wi♌th Hauger taking the victory, he has extended his lead to 43 points going into the Russia finale over Jack Doohan, who finished fourth.
With a maximum of 65 points ℱava🐓ilable at each race weekend, it’s in Hauger’s hands going to Sochi.
𝄹Outside of the top four was Caio Collet, Logan Sargeant and Jak Cra๊wford.
Collet spent much of the first hal🦩f of the race behind Crawford, who was complaining about his fitness l❀evels in the car.
The Brazilian capitalised on Lap 12, making the use of DRS into Turn 1 ﷽to overtake the Red Bull junior.
On Lap 18, a lock-up for ✨Crawford allowed Sargeant 𒀰to get ahead of his fellow countryman for seventh.
Frederik Vesti could only finish eighth 💎ahead of Arthur Leclerc, while Martins' 10-second time penalty drop📖ped him to tenth.
