Formula E has formally unveiled its new car♛🎃 at the Geneva Motor Show ahead of the 2018/19 season following its render launch at the end of January.

Formula E will introduce a ൲new car for its fifth season t꧃hat will be capable of completing a full race distance on a single charge, removing the car swaps that have been in place since the championship's inaugural race in 2014.

Renders of the 'Gen2' Formula E car were released at the end of January and received positive feedback due to the car's radical design that also incorporated the 🥃Halo cockpit protection device.

The 🌄covers were officially taken off the new car at the Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday, with the teams set to complete their first on-t🌱rack testing in the coming months.

"This is the first time I’ve seen th📖e complete car in the flesh and it’s even more sleek and spectacular up close," Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag said.

"If you were to draw a racing car fro🐽m scratch and base it purely on its looks, you’d come up with just this design. Not only is it striking on the eye, the performance and range show clear progress in terms of technological develo🅰pment in only four years.

"I’d like to express my personal thanks to the FIA and its President Jean Todt, for their hard work and support in putting together and designing ourꦡ Gen2 car. This model v🍷isually differentiates Formula E from any other single-seater in motorsport today. When people see this car they will say it’s Formula E, it’s the future."

The new Gen2 Formula E car wil🎶l make its race debut at the opening 🌜round of Season 5, set to take place in December 2018.
