Davide Valsecchi has reportedly emer𓆉ged without injury from his second massive shunt of the GP2 season, after going off at speed during Saturday's feature race at Spa-Francorchamps.

The Italian only returned from back injuries sustained in Turkey when the series reached Silverstone in July, and there were fears that, at the very least, he may have suffered a repeat after his Durango machine failed to make the right-hander at Stavelot. Unhindered by the gr🦩avel trap, Valsecchi briefly got airbo🦄rne before the nose of his Dallara touched down and speared into the tyre wall.

The impact was enough to lift the bar꧃rier into the air, and there was, unsurprisingly, little initial movement in the cockpit. However, with medical teams quickly on the scene, Valsecchi was carefully extricated fr🧸om the remains of his car and taken to nearby medical facility, from where early reports suggest that he has escaped without broken bones.

The Italian is expected 🍸to remain in hospital for overnig🏅ht observation.
