Peter 🅠Hickman has revealed the latest 🦹stage of his recovery from injuries sustained at the Isle of Man TT.

Hickman was hurt in the final qualifying session of the TT, hospitaꦯlised although he remained consciou🐲s.

He 💜suffered chest, back, shoulder and facial injuries but re-emerged into the TT paddock, in a wheelchair, sporting a black eye among other obvious damage.

Hickman has now uploaded socia🍌l media🐓 photos of his recovery process, joking about the similarity to comic book character Bane.

From inside a hyperbaric chamber,𝓰 Hickman wrote: “Doing my best Bane impression?!

“Still on the IOM a⛄nd doing the hyperbaric chamber twice a day to get repaired and back on a bike ASAP.

“Thanks for all the messages and support from everyone🌠ܫ, onwards and upwards!”

A hyperbaric chamber enables a pa🎃tient to breathe 10꧃0% oxygen within a pressurised environment.

The body is then able to absorb muc💛h more oxygen into the blood, which can fast-track recovery from injury.

It is a method used by athletes from various sports. Recently, Jo🌃nathan Rea was spotted inside a hyperbaric chamber as he recovered from a foot injꦿury.

Hickman is a 14-time TT champion who never got the oppor🐎tunity to add to his race w⛄in tally.

His road racing season has been tumultuous. Firstly, FHO Racing fell apar꧑t forcing Hickman and Davey Todd to consider new plans for the TT and🦄 for the British Superbike Championship.

Hickman and Todd co꧅-founded 8TEN Racing w♐ith support from BMW Motorrad.

But Hickman’s TT ended prematurely due t🅺o the injuries sustained in his crash.

There is no timescale on his comeback from injury but it is cꦰlear that Hickman is trying to speed up the process.
