While James Ellison൲ took his🐠 first BSB podium in race two at Oulton Park, brother Dean experienced very different fortunes - being left unconscious after smashing into a stationary motorcycle, ruling him out of this weekend's Brands Hatch round.

The Co-ordit team rider, who had retired with tyre proble🍨ms in race one, hit Steve Mercer's fallen machine - leaving Dean with 'an all round beating' but thankfully no major injuries.

"I started to get through the field and I could see some points, then as I exited Foulstons Chicane I hit a stationary bike that was lying in the middle of the track and was thrown into the air and rendered unconscious," said Ellison.

"After being examined by Toby Branfoot and his medical team I had onl♛y sustained a broken bone in my foot, ligament damage to the ankle, concussioꦇn and an all round beating.

"I'm desperate to get fit as fast as possible as I want to pick up w🔜here I left off at Thruxton. Unfortunately the crash will put me out of action for Brands Hatch but I'm aiming to be fit for Donington Park on the 26th May," he added.

The whole incident - which, combined with a separate accident for Cal Crutchlow, brought out the red flags - was missed by the TV cameras, but eagle-eyed ltxcn.top viewer Ken Richardson was in the right place at the right time - then sent in his shots for the world to see🧔.
