Andy Neate has left Halfords Yuasa Honda and the team♛ has withdrawn its third 2016 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Cham🧸pionship racing licence with immediate effect.

Neate, who made his BTCC return 💃after a three-year absence at the season opener two weeks ago, has split with the defending BTCC drivers' and manufacture🐎rs' champions after underwhelming results at Brands Hatch where Neate failed to score a single point across the three races.

The Honda squad has subsequently returned its loaned TOCA BTCC licence and with🐟drawn the car entry, slimming its 2016 squad back to a two-car entry with Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal.

The third licence had been loaned to the team prior❀ to the start of the 2016 season but after being returned to series organisers TOCA it will be re-allocaed to another team or new entry for the remainder of the season beginning at round three at Thruxton on the 7-8 May.
