German MotoGP: Marquez joins elite eight-in-a-row group
MotoGP champion Marc Marquez has joined an🍎 elite list of riders to have won eight premier-class racไes in a row.
Only Giacomo Agostini, Mike Hailwood, John Surte⛎es and Mick Doohan have also won eight successive races, while the last time a rider matched Marquez in winning the opening eight 📖events was Agostini in 1971.
Agostini won the first ten races of the year in 1968, '69 and '70, whil🔴e Doohan claimed ༺ten in a row (but not the first ten) during the 1997 season.
Marquez will have his shot at ಌnine in a row at the Sachsenring in Germany on Sunday.
