Caterham F1 has confirmed Robin Frijns will get an outing in its car during first free practice for this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prꦕix.

Having missed out on the chance to get any free practice running during his shorꩲt time as test and reserve driver at Sauber in 2013, the Dutchman will now get his first opportu𒁃nity to partake in an F1 race weekend at Bahrain.

The 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 Champion will drive the team's Renault-engined CT05 during FP1, though it hasn't been confirmed whether he will take the place of regular drivers K🐼amui Kobayashi or rookie Marcus Ericsson.

Frijns has previously driven the car during pre-season testing, also at the Sakh𝓡ir ജcircuit.
