Nic🐟o Terol set the best ever lap 🍨of the Alcarr?s circuit during a two-day Suter test prior to this weekend's Aragon Grand Prix.

The Mapfre Aspar rider improved by more than one-second during the second and final day to clock a 1m 34.5ඣ11s best, beating the previous record of 1m 34.632s held by fellow Suter Moto2ℱ star Dominique Aegerter.

Terol𒀰 began the final day riding a 2014 chassis, before returning in the afternoon with his current frame to continue set-up work ahead of this weekend's race.

"I am very happy with the conclusions that we have taken on the second day of testing," said Terol, wh𒁃o claimed his first Moto2 win at Texas th🌠is year.

"This morning I went out onto the track with the new chassis and 🥀the feeling that it gives me is that it is much easier to turn with the throttle open. It also gives a lot of grip, which allows you to get out of the corners quickly.

"That is the area where we have improved the most although in the fast sections aౠnd in the direction changes the bike doesn't move aꦿs much as with the previous chassis and it absorbs the bumps better.

"After lots of tests with the new chassis we went back to our standard frame and the feeling of grip was different, but at the end of the day we managed to find a very positive set-up which allowed me to set the circuit r𓆏ecord. We also set a consistently fast pace so I am real♏ly happy."

As well as Terol and Aspar team-mate Jordi Torres, the likes of Johann Zar♋co (Suter Moto2), Efren V?zquez (Mahindra/Suter Moto3), Miguel Oliveira (Mahindra/Suter Moto3) and Thomas Luthi (Suter Moto2) were also at the test.

Terol and Torres are the only Suter riders to win a race this year, but are only ninth and eleventh in the Moto2 standings with five rounds to go. Terol will be aiming for a podium return this weekend in front of his home Spanish fans, having previously won at Aragon during his 2011 title season in the 125cc 🌌class.

"I love Motorland firstly because it is a home track but also be🎃cause I always have a ꦉgood feeling there and I enjoy riding the track," he said.

"It has some really cool braꦦking zones and soꦐme flowing corners where you can open the throttle and let the bike drift, which is great fun. I also enjoy the blind entries, where you have to get your reference points exactly right otherwise you run wide.

"I qualified well there last year in Moto2 as well. After the work we did at the start of the𓆉 week we have some chassis ideas to work with this weekend and the objective is𝔉 to be fighting for the podium again."
