Honda TT legends rider Simon Andrews is being treated in hospital followiﷺng an accident in the Superbike race at the Isle of Man TT races.

Andrews, who made his debut at the event in 2011 when he fin🍸ished as the fastest newcomer, came off his 1000cc Fireblade at Graham's on the Mountain section of the 37.73-mile course on the first lap.

A statement issued by his Honda TT Legends team confirmed Andrews had escaped without anಌy life-threatening injuries.

The statement said: 'Simon Andrews crashed at Graham's during lap one of toda🌸y's Super꧅bike race.

'He was conscious and taken to hos🦹pital with suspected multipl💫e broken bones.

'Following X-rays, it has been confirmed that he has suffered a cracked shoulder, a br🍬oken wrist and a broken ankle (on his injured right leg).

'He is alert and chatting with h🐭is chief mechanic, who is with him at the hospital. ཧ'

Andrews is competing in the Endurance Wor🌳ld Championship for 2012, with the North🦩 West 200 and Isle of Man TT international road races part of his schedule.

He finished fourth in the main superbike race at the North West 200 in Northern Ireland last month and had impressed during practice at the TT, lapping at🌸 127mph.
