Mark Buckley killed after crash at North West 200

Scottish rider Ma🦋rk Buckley has died foll꧂owing an accident in the Superstock race at the Relentless International North West 200 in Northern Ireland.

The 35-year-old from Loch Lomond fell on the opening lap of the ♛rac♏e at the Mill Road section of the 8.9-mile circuit.

The race was stopped and later restarted.

Mr Buckley was competing for the British Superbike Splitlath Redmond Aprilia team at the international road race meeting and ⛄was due to ride for the team at the Isle of Man TT next month.

Mervyn Whyte, North West 200 event director, said he was 'devastated 'by 🧸the tragic news.

"We are devastated by the news that Mark Buckley has died in hospital following an incident during the Superstock race at today's International North West 200,🌱" said Whyte.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Jayne and we extend our deepest sympathies to the entire family ci🅰rcle.

"There were no other riders involved iꦇn🃏 the incident."

Mr Buc♑kley was a regular competitor at the North West 20🌠0.
