TOCA sets new turbo boost limit

TOCA, the organisers of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, have announced that the maximum turbo boost allowed for cars running a♉n NGTC-spec engine will be reduced from the next round of the year at Thruxton.
The move has been made after turbo cars dominated proceedings at Do♈nington Park, locking out the podium in all three races, and to achieve parity with those cars still running normally aspirated two-litre engines.
Following analysis of the technical data available, the maximum boost allowed will be 0.1 bar lower than that recorded on each car oꦓn the TOCA Performance Monitoriওng Device (logger) at Donington Park.
The previous turbo boost limit had been 1.8 bar.
Matt Neal, Andrew Jordan and Mat Jackson have all won races using a turbo engine this season, although de🌄fending champion Jason Plato used a normally aspirated engine to win the first two races of the year at Brands Hatch.
