Newly crowned Inteꩵrcontinental Rally Challenge title winner Kris Meeke has been excluded from the results of the season-ending Rally of Scotlan♛d.

Meeke had taken victory in the event at the wheel of his Peugeot UK entered Peugeot 207 S2000 after an event-long battle with the Skoda of Guy Wilks, but post-event cཧhecks raised question marks over the legality of the front subf🦩rame on the car.

The suspect part has now undergone a series of further checks which have revealed that it was below the🃏 minimum weight required, with 🦩the decision taken to exclude Meeke as a result.

The Kronos-run team will not appeal the decision, which has no bearing on the IRC title race with Meeke having been crowned champion prior 💧to the seaso💖n finale.

"After due delib🧜eration, the stewards noted 𒈔that Peugeot UK and Peugeot Sport admitted a lack of control in the manufacture of this subframe," a statement read. "The stewards also recognised that there was no fraudulent intent on the part of the entrant or manufacturer.

"The stewards decide to exclude competitor #1 from the event in accordance with article 158 of the 2009 FIA International Sp🌸orting Code owing to🤪 non-conformity with the relevant FIA homologation paper."
