Hall of Fame Racing has announced🍸 that it will switch marques for 2008, giving new recruit JJ Yeley the chance to run w🅷ith Toyota and Toyota Racing Development [TRD].

Yeley's current team, Joe Gibbs Racing, will also switch to the Toyota camp next season, and the HoF announcement appears little more than an effort to continue its str꧂ategic alliance with JGR, from which it leases engines and receives manufacturing support. Yeley will drive the #96 DLP HDTV-backed Camry from the Budweiser Shoot-out onwards.

"I've had the good fortune of working with Toyota in the past, and it is an industry-leading company and an exceptional partner who is committed to winning," said team owner Tom Garfinkel, "We're also thrilled to continue our relationship with Joe Gibbs Racing 🐷- a first-class organisation who has been supportive of us from day one."

Co-owner Jeff Moorad thanked General Motors for the te🔯am's first two years in the Cup Series, admitting that the compan☂y had provided a great deal of assistance in getting the one-car Chevrolet team up and running.

"Toyota has had great success in all forms of motorsports and we look forward to building a long-term partnership with them, but we also want to tha﷽nk General Motors for their tremendo🔯us support throughout the last two years," Moorad commented, "Without GM's help, Hall of Fame Racing would not be where it is today. They have been a great partner."

Yeley's spot in the 9 Fꦡebruary Shootout at Daytona comes courtesy of his first career Cup pole, at Michigan International Speedway, in mid-June.
