Team Aviva to hit Macau.
Aviva has announced that it is to sponsor a two-car team 🌠in the final rounds of the World Touring Car Championship season finale at Macau in November.
The deal, which was announced at the Motorsport Industry Association's Annual Summer Reception at the House of Lords, will see Colin Turkington and Duncan Huisman line-up in a pair of BMW 320si E90s on the famous street circuit, with the cars being run by the same WSR outfit that run's Turkington under ♊the Team RAC banner in the BTCC.

"The comprehens🔴ive TV rights deal that the WTCC has, with covera🍌ge in over 30 countries, will also provide Aviva with brand awareness and help us promote our One Aviva message across the globe. We felt that the WTCC was a perfect fit in that it demonstrates Aviva values including teamwork, innovation and performance."
Turkington, who currently stands fifth in the BTCC standings and will be making his WTCC debut this weekend for Team RA🎐C, admitted he was excited about racing in the crown jewel of the touring car calendar.
"I can't wait to get behind the wheel for Te﷽am Aviva in Macau," he said. "The Brands Hatch round will be a superb experience fo▨r me to test myself against the best, and the Macau round will bring new challenges as it's recognised as one of the most demanding circuits in the world."
Dutchman Huisman is a previous winner at Macau and he said he was hoping to secure💃 further glory on the challenging street circuit this time around.
"Team Aviva have given me a superb opportunity and it's one I'm very much looking forward to," he said. "I have a good record at Macau from pre⛄vious years and will certainly be using that experience to do everything I can to record race wins for Team Aviva."
WSR team principal Dick Bennetts was understandably excited at the prospect of taking on the challenge of Macau, and said he was confident that both drivers can get the job dꦓone.
"Everyone at WSR is extremely excited about Team Avi💜va competing in Macau," he said. "We have two very good drivers in Duncan and Colin, one of which has a race win in the BMW at the circuit, so we're certainly approachingꦐ it in a very confident mood.
"It's anot👍her superb opportunity for Colin and his development as a young racing driver and I'm sure he will perform very well. With him taking part in the Brands Hatc𓄧h round later this month, it will give us valuable information for the trip to Asia in November."
