Optima Sport's David Clark has returned to Western Australia where his motorsport career started in karts to attend the junior development program of the Tiger Kart ꦯClub and the Australian Ka🅠rting Association.

Clark, who's resul🔯ts on debut in this year's Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series include qualifying tenth in Adelaide and finishing seventh outright at Goulburn, the South Australian-based pilot attended the special day at Cockburn International Kartway instructing seven to sixteen year old racers th💯e basics of becoming a successful karter.

Despite the spotlight being predominan꧅tly on the facets of driving a kart, ther𒊎e was also a focus on safety, presentation and race communication.

"Karting is where I discovered just about everything I know and it's great to be able to provide these kids with some of ♓the lessons wh🥂ich I have learnt so far during my career, both in karting and cars" said Clark.

"It's great to be able to come b♈ack to where I🍨 got my first break towards a career in motorsport and give something back to the sport."

David Clark will aim to set an examp💛le for his young native West Australian fans when he contests💟 the next championship round of the Fujitsu Series at Queensland Raceway in a fortnight's time. He will complete a test at the venue tomorrow.
