NASCAR has rejected an appeal by Kevin Harvick's crew-chief Todd Berrier against a fine and two race suspensionꦉ following last month's race at the Talladega Superspeedway.

Following Bud Pole qualifying at the 2.66-mile Talladega oval, Harvick's #29 GM Goodw🦩re🐷nch Chevrolet was found to have several unapproved parts and modifications to the rear of the car, resulting in an initial two race suspension for Berrier.

However with Harvick fighting for eleventh place in the Nextel Cup points standings and a one million dollar bonus, Richard Childress Racing appealed the penalty, allowi✅ng Berrier to c💯ontinue work at Kansas and Lowe's Motor Speedway.

However on Tuesday the National Sto🥂ck Car Racing Commission heard and considered the appeal of Berrier and decreed that taken💛 individually, each of the components that failed to conform to the rules had plausible explanations, but taken collectively, constituted a serious violation of the rules.

Therefore by unanimous decision the commission to upheld the original penalty issued by NASCAR, me🔯ani🌟ng that Berrier will have to pay the $10,000 fine and sit out the next two races.
