F1 cars to run on the streets of Melbourne.

The Mel𝓰bourne Grand Prix will be accompanied by a street parade of F1 cars, much in the same vein as happened in the London Regent Street parade before the British GP last year.

This year represents the tenth anniversary 💞of the Australian Grand Prix takin🧸g place at Albert Park after those cunning Victorians stole the race from Adelaide.

There were already plenty of plans for celebrations in🗹cluding a 'Peoples Day' of free admission at the Albert Park circuit on the Thursday.

✱Reports coming out of Australia seem to confirm that a st🐭reet parade will be part of the tenth anniversary celebrations.

The AAP reports Melbourne Lord Mayor John So as saying ꧟the parade would showcase Melꦿbourne to the world. "It will also attract thousands of people to the city. Over half a million people flocked to the centre of London last year to witness a similar display of F1 action," he said.

The F1 cars will drive a route down Swanston🗹, Collins, Russell and Flinders streets, right in the centre of the city and including landmarks such as Federation Square, Flinders Street Station and St Paul's Cathedral.
